OCTOPUS TOMS

whattttt!! too good to be true!! but NO it is true! a cute little girl (i think around 13 years old) drew a sketch of an octopus couple. she wanted her sketch to be turned into a pair of TOMS and HNC came through!! one of our artists recreated the octopus pair on a pair of ask grey TOMS pretty perfectly. so freaking cute!!

PEACE SIGN TOMS

this pair of peace sign TOMS was ordered through email by a customer for her girlfriend "erica" and is the reason i require that all customers PREPAY!! for their custom TOMS orders. upon completion of this very specific order for handpainted TOMS, i could never reach the customer for payment and a shipping address. DUMB! now these TOMS is out at the store waiting for the just the right customer- basically an erica that wears a size 7.5 and wants black TOMS with white peace signs and her name in light blue. ah. they might be sitting a while, but at least we've stirred up lots of orders similar to this pair! and maybe, just maybe, the right girl will eventually come along and we'll have her perfect pair waiting for her!

i don't paint with deep purple often enough! i love what a bold statement these bright but somehow subtle TOMS make.

STRIPED TOMS x2

another pair of somewhat striped TOMS. oh and this is an "oldie but goodie" from several months back. apparently i HAVE done stripes on TOMS before and had just forgotten. this is what happens when you paint TOMS day in and day out. without pictures i forget about past projects. thank goodness this style was documented!!

STRIPEY TOMS

this is the first time i've ever done stripes on a pair of TOMS and luckily i was given pretty free reign. this customer simply requested using the pink and aqua colors and knew she wanted purple stripes all over. the result was better than she or i could have ever imagined!

the PEACELOVEPAINTdesign is back in full force!! the artist of this style (jenn eddy) has graduated from baylor and plans to stay in waco for the year, focusing on her artwork. this means LOTS of new PLP TOMS in stock for the fall. i can't wait! these are perfect for the sweet girl who ordered them and she'll be ready to spread her chi-o love all over SMU's campus.

NEW HANDPAINTED TOMS!!

FINALLY!! a new pair of handpainted TOMS to post. HNC has been out of (or running v. v. low on) white TOMS for a long while now. luckily the girls who wanted these UT TOMS found pairs in their sizes and luckily for us, 50+ pairs of WHITE TOMS are on their way.

a sweet girl came to order these TOMS a couple of weeks ago. she lives across the street from sandy creek bible camp in washington, texas and grew up attending every summer. this summer she'll be a camp counselor and wanted a pair of TOMS to match their camp colors. cute cute cute! maybe some of her campers will want to order a pair as well. SCORE!

CHERRY BLOSSOM TOMS

these handpainted TOMS are so feminine and elegant. we've been painting lotus flower TOMS for a while with great success, so to go along with the spring season and the blooming cherry blossom trees, we painted this pair. customers have found that they're a perfect addition to any shoe collection. because they incorporate brown, black, and grey, these TOMS are guaranteed to match almost anything in your closet. plus the touch of pink is a sweet surprise.

CIRCUS TOMS

for some reason, these handpainted TOMS remind me of a circus. clowns? something?! maybe it's the stars. they're so dreamy. a girl custom ordered this pair, and she was very particular about what she wanted in each section and what colors she wanted to use. it paid off! she has a completely unique pair of TOMS. no other person in the universe has a pair just like these. wow wow wow!

FLASHBACK TOMS

this pair of TOMS was a custom order placed by a mom for her high school daughter. we have pictures in the store of lots of our old creations and she loved this fun color combination. i originally painted a pair of TOMS like this for myself. they were my very first pair. the day i put them on was the day i fell in love with TOMS. my feet have seen very few pairs of other shoes since.

FUNKFETTI TOMS

these funky fun TOMS incorporate layers of paint washes, permanent marker designs and finally splatter paint. the effect produces wild and crazy patterning that probably doesn't match anything in your closet but inevitably matches everything. so cute and perfect for summer!

PERPETUAL TOMS

a lovely lady named perpetual (which is an amazingly awesome name!!) ordered this pair of handpainted TOMS. she had seen our "bro life" TOMS i did a while back, and wanted something similar.....



luckily, i saved ALOT of time by using a pair of RED TOMS and painting the black stars onto them. this is the second time i've painted on colored TOMS and i'm loving it. seriously!

always a crowd-pleaser in bear country! lots of girlie girls in waco like baylor TOMS to wear to sporting events. now that baseball season (and pretty weather) is right around the corner, i bet we're sure to get lots of orders!

aw! i love these! they're a custom order for a high schooler. I hope she tells all her friends that they can order a pair at harts n crafts and there will be a frenzy of other lucky ladies (and dudes) storming the store, demanding their very own pair of handpainted TOMS. also, it's worth noting that i painted these black and white peace signs on red canvas TOMS. i haven't experimented with painting on any TOMS other than the white ones, but i love how they turned out. hurray!
